Cruise the beautiful blue coast of Natural Park of Arrábida and cross the river Sado, by ferry, to Troia. Cycle along the Natural Park of the SW Alentejo and the Vicentine Coast. Ride through the breathtaking landscapes of the Alentejo beaches. Admire the magnificent cliffs scenery, watch the colours, feel the aromas and taste the Portuguese gastronomy & wines. Visit Sagres, the south-westernmost town of Continental Europe.

Get to know Lagos, the cosmopolitan and oldest town in the Algarve, the surrounding fishing villages and sandy beaches!

Day 1

Cycling along the amazing coast of Arrábida Natural Park

Meeting at the Hotel, in Lisbon, followed by a short briefing of the tour/procedures. Private transfer to Arrábida Natural Park. Cycle 15km in the amazing Arrábida Natural Park, that offers bird’s-eye ocean views before descending to the coast. Cross the river Sado by boat and ride on towards south. Lodging in a rural and charming Wine Tourism Lodge.

Day 2

The wonderful beaches of the Natural Park of SW Alentejo & Vicentine Coast

After breakfast we ride into the SW Alentejo Natural Park.
This is the most well preserved coast all over Europe. The landscape is amazing! Visit amazing places like S. Torpes beach, Porto Covo and Ilha do Pessegueiro.
We end our day in a beautiful and quiet lodge, surrounded by an ecological reserve, near the coast.

Day 3

Discover the Alentejo with the feel of the ocean

After breakfast we ride to Vila Nova de Milfontes and then to Cabo Sardão and Herdade do Touril. Cabo Sardão and it’s lighthouse are near Cavaleiro village. Large numbers of storks congregate here in spring. These huge birds, “stars” of Alentejan Coast, build their nests on the craggy cliffs and on the rocks “planted” on the sea. This is believed to be a unique habit in the world. Lodging in a rural and charming homestead.

Day 4

And here ends the Alentejo…. Welcome to Algarve!

After breakfast, we ride from Touril to Zambujeira do Mar, towards to Odeceixe beach, from where you can look at one of the most impressive sights around. And here ends the Alentejo.
We will stay in a typical village at Algarve. Aljezur is situated in a lush, green, fertile valley, an area well known for it’s sweet potato crops. It is built on either side of the river that runs through the valley. The remains of a Moorish 10th century castle can be seen high on the hill over the old town and the views from there are fantastic! Lodging in a 4* Hotel, with view to the Castle.

Day 5

Riding towards South to Sagres

After breakfast, we ride from Aljezur to Carrapateira beach and Vila do Bispo.
This journey treats us to scenery in which the mountain range spreads as far as the coast, ending up on the beach. Rocks, hillsides, streams or plains in deep valleys, are some of the features that make up the aesthetic landscape and constitute a mosaic of habitats with distinct ecological functions.
We will be cycling towards the south western tip of Europe – Cabo de São Vicente, Sagres. This is a magical place where one can almost hear the echoes of the voices of sailors and pilgrims. Monumental cliffs, outstanding views over the coastline and a privileged area to watch the natural phenomenon of autumn bird migration.
Lodging in a 4* Hotel, situated in Costa Vicentina Natural Park, surrounded by stunning deserted beaches and the wild nature of an unforgettable beauty.

Day 6

The beautiful Algarve Coast

After breakfast, we ride from Sagres towards Lagos. This route combines trails in protected areas with linking stretches mostly on traffic calmed or car-free routes. You will be able to admire magnificent views along the way. Lodging in a 3* Hotel, at Lagos. End of bike tour.

Day 7

Time to say goodbye… We hope to see you again, on another bike adventure!!

After breakfast, check out from Hotel in Lagos, until 12:00.
