Already have some experience and ready to catch waves on your own? Our Rent & Ride option gives you the freedom to surf independently while still benefiting from local knowledge and safety guidance.

You’ll be surfing at the same beach and during the same times as our lessons, so you’re always in a supervised and active surf environment. Before heading into the water, one of our instructors will assess the conditions and clearly explain where it’s safe and appropriate for you to surf.

This guidance is essential, as ocean conditions can change quickly. While some areas of the beach may look tempting, such as the outside “back” waves on bigger days, they are not always suitable and can be dangerous depending on your level and the conditions.

Our team will make sure you understand:
✔ Where you can safely surf
✔ Which areas to avoid
✔ How the conditions are behaving that day

Rent & Ride is ideal for surfers who are comfortable on a board but still want the reassurance of expert advice and a controlled environment.

If you cannot bottom turn, turtle roll, duck dive, or surf in either direction.
Then stick to the lessons for now. You’ll get there.

Surf smart, stay safe, and make the most of every wave.

• Emergency snack pack with Portuguese oranges and a sandwich if you don’t bring food; some beaches have no facilities.
• Sports insurance included for all students; instructors are first-aid trained and carry a full medical kit.
• Board and wetsuit hire included; high-quality equipment provided after a brief handling demo on the beach.

Ages 8-12 years old are allowed as long as they are accompanied but an adult.
