Itinerary

The day begins by leaving Ponta Delgada towards the eastern part of the island, with a short stop in the village of Povoação (the island’s first settlement) for a comfort break (30 min) where you will have the opportunity to try the traditional ‘Fofas’ sweet pastry.

On arriving at Faial da Terra, we begin our walk in the picturesque little spot of “”Sanguinho””, where you will not only enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view, but also benefit from our guide’s explanations about this fantastic place.

We continue along the path through dense, exotic vegetation to reach the magnificent “”Salto do Prego”” waterfall, where you can, if you wish, bathe in its clear, cool waters.

Continuing along the trail, we follow a “”levada”” until we reach Faial da Terra. Optional: a picnic in nature, or a full meal served at Faial da Terra in a traditional country house, where the food is cooked in a wood-fired oven.

At the end of the day, we return to Ponta Delgada.
