If you’re looking to discover the Arouca Geopark area in an active way and love to pedal, our suggestion is mountain biking.
We carefully design the most beautiful cycling tours, linked to the points of greatest geological and scenic interest in the area, that is, geosites.
We offer three levels, across three distinct geographical areas: the Arda Cycleway (easy), the Paiva Valley (moderate) and the Serra da Freita (difficult).
With guided support and logistical backup, including the provision of mountain bikes, come and wind your way around the mountain, beside the highest waterfall in mainland Portugal, and among the Pedras Parideiras; pedal through hills and valleys, crossing beautiful villages and the famous Passadiços do Paiva and Ponte 516 Arouca; or follow the rivers and streams along the Arda Valley Cycleway.
