The Tavira Tower offers the most stunning and privileged view of the city. A 360-degree journey through its historical and cultural heritage. The visit is conducted in sessions limited to 15 people, accompanied by a guide who provides an explanation about the city, based on its monuments, culture, and history. This is a different and unique way to visit the city, from inside the Tavira Tower, nearly 100 meters above sea level, at a higher altitude, where the images seen are of the live and moving panoramic view of the city and what is happening outside at the same moment and outside the Camera. Each session lasts 15 minutes. The start time is indicated at the reception. The Building The former water tank, inaugurated in June 1931 and built with the purpose of supplying the entire city of Tavira, has always been a charismatic and eminent building but long deactivated. Through a pioneering project, it was adapted and converted into a point of cultural interest and a unique tourist attraction in Portugal, the Tavira Tower. Thus, Tavira takes another step in its history, with the first CAMERA OBSCURA in the Algarve.
