On the way to the cliffs, the driver will take you through the touristic area of Funchal. Soon after, the modern buildings will be replaced with banana plants and superb views over the Atlantic Ocean and the cliffs of Cabo Girão. Cabo Girãohas its highest points 580 meters above sea level. From its glass sky-walk you can enjoy some breath-taking views over the coast and beach below. After your visit to Cabo Girão, your guide will take west, down the hill, to Fajãdos Padres view point. There the dramatic west coast cliffs will impress you and provide and excellent photo opportunity at an unique location. On the way down the cliff, a stop in the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos will provide you with a good opportunity to relax. The fishing village of Câmara de Lobos is famous for its picturesque looks, with colourful fishing boats in the dry dock right in centre of the village, and a small bay and steep hills crowded with small old buildings. Once in the village, you will have the opportunity to explore it and learn about its history and culture. You can also try some of the local delicacies.
