Whale and Dolphin Watching + Jeep Tour to Lagoa do Fogo – Full Day

Out on the open sea, in the heart of the marine species’ natural habitat, you will certainly have the chance to observe several animals in loco during the morning. Get your camera ready! Dolphins and whales, as well as turtles and seabirds, are highly likely to be sighted throughout the tour. Before the boat trip, one of our biologists will give a brief explanation of which cetacean species you may observe, the on-board safety measures, and how we respect the animals and the rules of observation at sea. During the tour, every passenger must wear a life jacket (except on our catamaran). Futurismo Azores Adventures also provides rain jackets and trousers if needed. After lunch, the tour continues by jeep, combining different routes. In the Lagoa do Fogo nature reserve, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande, enjoy nature in its purest state. The views are stunning from the top of the crater, where a viewpoint is located. If the weather is good, taking photos is a must. On the way down we stop at Caldeira Velha. A hot water waterfall, rich in iron, where you can take a dip surrounded by a lush natural landscape and endemic vegetation. It is a genuine open-air spa, open to the public daily.
