What is it?

It has always been said that you should never look at the Sun . Well, here at the Alqueva Lake Observatory we have telescopes that were specially designed to observe the sun’s surface in great detail and with maximum safety! Come and see ejections, prominences, sunspots and much more!

At the end of the session, an image is captured of an area of interest chosen by the astronomer on duty, which participants take home as a memento.

The whole experience includes the presence of a professional guide. The explanations are given in accessible language by the OLA guides, who are more than prepared to answer all kinds of questions.

What to bring to survive!

In summer, bring a hat and a bottle of cold water.
