The quiet town of Sousel holds within it charms and corners where its historic connection to D. Nuno Alvares Pereira, and consequently to the Battle of Atoleiros, is evident.

In the lands of the Constable, the landscape heritage shapes the visit, with stunning views, making it possible, from the top of the Serra de São Miguel, to “sail” across a rolling sea of olive trees.

The whitewashed houses lining its streets reflect the production of lime in the town’s kilns. As you discover it on a pleasant walking tour, we will have the opportunity to visit its heritage, passing by the iconic Museu dos Cristos, the church of the Convento de Santo António, the legendary Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Orada, the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Graça, the Igreja da Misericórdia and, finally, we will finish at the Pelourinho, in the largo dos Paços do Concelho, the heart of Sousel.
