On this tour we head south, towards the Bairrada region, famous for its gastronomy but also for the fantastic wines it produces from its characteristic grape: Baga.

The day will begin at an iconic Bairrada winery, known for being one of the first in the region to introduce innovative techniques for producing Bairrada sparkling wine and table wine. We will explore the production process, the vineyards and end the visit with, of course, a wine tasting!

Lunch awaits us! You will have the opportunity to taste the typical delicacy of Bairrada – roast suckling pig (leitão). If you don’t like the idea, this local restaurant has other typical Portuguese dishes waiting for you!

Next, we will visit a classic Bairrada sparkling wine cellar with more than 80 years of history. Walk through its tunnels, see the 2 million bottles of sparkling wine and understand its production and ageing process. At the end, taste white and red DOC Bairrada wines and a sparkling wine.

Finally, we will head to the last winery of the day, where we will witness the dedication and passion for winemaking passed down over 3 generations.
