Porto: cellars, gastronomy and cruise

Be prepared to discover the history and culture of Porto’s finest monuments, its historic centre and the modern places of this much-loved city.
The tour begins with a walk through the historic centre, exploring Avenida dos Aliados, where you can appreciate the imposing architecture of the buildings. We will continue to São Bento Railway Station, where the guide will share the story of the station and its celebrated azulejos, which depict important scenes from Portuguese culture and history. We will walk up to Porto Cathedral, one of the oldest monuments in the city. From the cathedral, we head towards the Fernandina Wall, which offers beautiful views of the city.
On arriving at Praça da Batalha, we board our comfortable coach. The tour continues towards Vila Nova de Gaia, where we will visit a Port wine cellar for a full explanation of the Port wine production process, followed by a tasting of three wines.
The next stop is at a typical restaurant, where a traditional lunch will be served with options such as francesinha or bacalhau, accompanied by wine or water. After lunch, we board a rabelo boat to sail along the Douro river, enjoying the views of the bridges that connect Porto and Gaia.
Back on land and on the coach, we head to Foz do Douro, one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city, with the beautiful scenery of the Douro River and some free time to enjoy the view of the Atlantic coast and the Castelo do Queijo. We continue the tour through the Boavista area, passing by the Casa da Música and the Parque de Serralves.
