Once you arrive, you can enjoy a self-guided hike at your own pace through Madeira’s beautiful terrain.

PR1.2 – Starting from Achada do Teixeira you will have the chance to hike until Pico Ruivo. A breathtaking hike that leads you to the island’s highest peaks, with dramatic views of the mountains, valleys, and coastline.
It’s a challenging but rewarding trail that takes you through some of Madeira’s most famous scenery.

PR9 – Levada do Caldeirão Verde: If you prefer a less strenuous hike, the Levada do Caldeirão Verde offers a lush and tranquil experience, leading you along a levada (irrigation channel) through beautiful forests and waterfalls.

After completing your hike, we will pick you up at your trail’s endpoint and return you to Machico comfortably.
