Grape Harvest at Quinta das Murgas

During the month of September, we open the vineyard to anyone who wants to come and experience the harvest with us.

It is not a staged experience; it is exactly what happens at Quinta das Murgas at this time of year. The idea is simple: come, take part and understand how it all begins, from the grape to the wine cellar.

What it includes:

We start in the vineyard, with the grape harvest. It is a calm moment, with no rushing, where you fall into the rhythm of the harvest.
Then we move on to the wine cellar. Here you will be able to follow closely what is happening, sorting, musts, fermentations , and better understand the process. Our team explains everything along the way, in a practical way.

Wine tasting:

• 3 wines from different years (vertical tasting)
• 1 red wine

A simple way to understand how the wine evolves and what we have been doing at Murgas.

Harvester’s lunch:

We finish with a lunch at the table, with no formality. Typical harvest food, open wine, relaxed conversation , it is often the best moment of the day.
