Essence of Porto

Discover the essence of Porto on a private tour designed to reveal the authenticity and charm of the Invicta City.

Starting at your hotel, this route takes you through the city’s most emblematic places. We start at the Porto Cathedral and continue to the Dom Luís I Bridge, one of the best viewpoints from which to contemplate and photograph the Ribeira and the banks of the Douro River. Along the way, we pass the Church of Santa Clara, one of the finest examples of Porto Baroque, and São Bento Station, famous for its impressive azulejo panels that tell striking episodes of Portuguese history.

We continue through the historic centre, passing the Church of São Francisco, the Ferreira Borges Market and the exterior of the Stock Exchange Palace. The tour continues along the riverfront, where you can enjoy the typical colourful houses and the vibrant atmosphere of one of the most iconic neighbourhoods of Porto.

We finish with a visit to the Port wine cellars, where you will enjoy a guided tour and a wine tasting, an essential experience to get to know one of the region’s greatest traditions. Before returning to the hotel, we will also stop by the Clérigos Tower and the Lello Bookshop, two of the city’s most emblematic monuments.
