Try a picnic on one of the 426 islands. During the trip, disembark on one of the islands to come into direct contact with nature and enjoy a snack of various Alentejo products, including the wines.

Acqua
A two-hour circular trip, with a guide and picnic. Boarding at the marina next to the dam wall.
Sailing begins with the approach to the Alqueva dam, with a first explanatory stop. Then along the main axis and the old river channels, there are several stopping points.
During the trip, disembark on one of the 426 islands to come into direct contact with nature and enjoy a snack of various Alentejo products, including the wines. Once the snack is over, the trip resumes with a return to the quay of the dam complex.
During the trip, the explanations are constant, about the reservoir, the banks, the settlement of the land, the hidden corners, the fauna, the flora and other curiosities, in a crew/passenger interaction that emerges as the trip proceeds.

Land
There is the possibility of the programme having a land-based component and starting there, at no extra cost, with a visit to the Alqueva Interpretation Centre (CIAL), where there will be an explanation about the Alqueva multipurpose project and also a short film related to the project.
