바닷가에서 푼샬, beside the bronze statue of the celebrating footballer, the Museu CR7 tells the career of Cristiano Ronaldo — the boy from Madeira who became one of the greatest players in the history of the game, and the island’s most famous son.

The museum opened in December 2013, first on a hillside street and later in its present home on the seafront by the marina. Its hundred-plus trophies follow the whole career — the early years at Sporting, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and the honours of the Portuguese national team — with the Ballons d’Or and the European Championship silverware at the centre of the display.
