The Azores are without a doubt one of the best destinations for diving in the Atlantic. Our diving season runs from April to October. Our dive sites are very diverse and can cater to every preference and level of experience, as we have more than 20 dive sites between the islands of Faial and Pico.

The most usual dive sites are located in a marine reserve, “Monte da Guia”, on the island of Faial, and to get to the dive site we always use a RIB, as it is around 5 minutes from our base. The temperature of our waters ranges between 20-24ºC in the summer months, so a 5mm or 7mm wetsuit is usually enough.

Marine life on the islands of Faial and Pico is fantastic! You will have the opportunity to observe curious triggerfish (Balistes carolinensis), dusky groupers (Epinephelus marginatus), parrotfish (Sparisoma cretense), octopuses and moray eels among the rocks, as well as small species such as colourful nudibranchs, among others.

If you do not have a diving certification, we also offer snorkelling trips at the dive sites, or an introductory dive, where you are always accompanied by a qualified instructor who will look after you underwater.

The dive site is chosen before departure, taking into account the divers’ experience, preferences, weather and sea conditions. The guide will give a briefing about the chosen site, what you can observe and what precautions to take, as the safety of our divers is the most important thing. All equipment undergoes regular maintenance and inspections. All divers must carry their certification card and an up-to-date medical declaration.
