Peak to Peak Sunrise Hike

The Peak-to-Peak Sunrise Hike is designed for walkers who want to experience Madeira’s high mountains at first light, when conditions allow.

This is an early-start hike and one of the island’s most exposed mountain experiences. Weather, wind, cloud cover, and trail conditions change quickly at altitude, so routes and plans are adapted on the day with safety as the priority.

The focus is on timing, atmosphere, and the mountain experience rather than guaranteeing specific views or conditions. Some mornings are dramatic, others quieter — but no two are the same.
