The day begins towards the “”Pico da Barrosa”” at 950 m in height, one of the highest peaks on the island, with a panoramic view over the centre and the eastern part of the island and one of the most extraordinary views of the “”Lagoa do Fogo “”.

Lagoa do Fogo is located in a nature reserve of parks in S. Miguel. Its beauty and serenity reflect the true wonder of nature, which keeps its landscape wild and primitive. The descent to the lake is a short but steep walk along a narrow trail. Along the way, you will find several endemic species of fauna and flora.

Immerse yourself in this magnificent place, to the melodious sound of the birds, and feel the natural aroma rising from the plants. At the end of the trail, we reach the beach of Lagoa do Fogo. Take the opportunity to appreciate the vastness of this spot that inspires peace and well-being; you can also dive into the waters of this beautiful lake, feel the power of nature and invigorate body and soul.

To end the day, we stop in the historic centre of the town of Ribeira Grande, to savour the traditional sweet liqueurs made from the island’s fruit.
