The Semana Santa is one of the greatest religious celebrations of Portugal, and its processions \u2014 led by the confraternities of the city \u2014 draw visitors from across the country and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">History and traditions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Holy Week traditions of Braga go back centuries, shaped by the confraternities and the cathedral of the city.
