Its old streets climb gently to the castle, its workshops keep one of the oldest pottery traditions of the Alentejo, and around the town the fields and the mountains of Ossa shape a landscape of vineyards and olive groves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The town<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Redondo grew around its castle, on the road between \u00c9vora and the Guadiana, and its people have worked the clay of the Serra de Ossa for generations \u2014 the town is famous for its pottery, shown in the shops and workshops of the old centre. The church, the pillory and the gates of the old walls keep the memory of the medieval town, while the vineyards of the plain have made Redondo one of the wine towns of the Alentejo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to see<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The castle and the historic centre of the town.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The potteries and shops of the pottery tradition of Redondo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Serra de Ossa around the town, with its paths and viewpoints.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The vineyards and olive groves of the Alentejo plain.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visiting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Redondo lies within easy reach of \u00c9vora and Vila Vi\u00e7osa, in the heart of the Alentejo.
