Corvo Village Interpretive Trail

The interpretive trail of Corvo Village was created in a participatory way as part of the Corvo Ecomuseum project, as an instrument for interpreting the territory, since it is a territory museum that can only be “visited” by exploring the island.

The specific character of the Corvo territory, the resilient nature of its people, the history of the community and the heritage it holds – whether cultural, natural, historical or scenic, tangible or intangible – make Corvo a unique place that should not merely be visited, but truly experienced, and the trail makes exactly that possible.

It is impossible to understand Corvo without meeting the locals and hearing the stories they have to tell, wandering the streets and the canadas.
Through this trail, the visitor is led through the old core of the village with a guide who will introduce the most relevant aspects of the community’s history and way of life, passing through thirteen stations identified by the people of Corvo as unmissable, as was also the case with the information provided, which recounts the island’s four centuries of history.

The trail lasts approximately 2h00 and is of easy difficulty.
