Cork Oak Montado Jeep Tour & Alentejo Lunch near Grândola

In the wild hills near Torrão, Grândola, a private Alentejo estate stretches across mato, cork oak groves, farmland, and river margins. This experience combines a 3-hour private Jeep tour through that landscape — with a local guide explaining the montado ecosystem, the cork oak life cycle, and the traditional harvesting process — with a sit-down lunch at a traditional Alentejo restaurant in Torrão. The Jeep route passes through the estate’s working rice fields and, if present, the cork stack. After the tour, guests move to a local restaurant where a traditional Alentejo meal is served: the slow-cooked, generous dishes of the south, paired with regional wine. The complete rural Alentejo experience — wild landscape in the morning, traditional table in the afternoon.
