Jeepsafari i Sintra – upphämtning i Lissabon

This is a twin tour of “SINTRA JEEP SAFARI” but includes the pick up in Lisbon 🙂

Those who want to “squeeze all the juice” out of Sintra. Drink up the best of the UNESCO World Heritage area and Sintra-Cascais Natural Park in just one day.

Climb aboard our vintage Portuguese 4x4s and tackle the best of the Sintra region. In just one day you’ll explore the mysterious Quinta da Regaleira and eat a traditional Portuguese lunch (with wine, of course) before cruising off-road through Sintra’s lush forests, to emerge at the seaside cliffs of mainland Europe’s westernmost point, Cabo da Roca.

Våra restaurerade f.d. militära 4WD-fordon ser visserligen coola ut, men de är också det bästa sättet att ta sig fram i terrängen väster om Lissabon, från kullarnas slott till den branta kustlinjen i UNESCOs världsarvslandskap. Vi tar er till hemliga utsiktsplatser och dolda stränder som inga andra turister kan nå, med musik i högsta volym hela tiden. På sommaren känner ni vinden i håret när vi studsar fram längs terrängspåren med taket nedfällt. Under de svalare månaderna behåller vi taket, skruvar upp musiken och plaskar genom lerpölar medan vi slalomar förbi hus stora stenblock, tallskogar och jättelika ormbunkar.

Our adventures are about the journey, not just the destination. This is why we love to go off-road, snap Polaroid pictures at the coast, play epic tunes all day long and give you the chance to taste Sintra’s traditional sweet pastry and homemade liqueur.

RESEPLAN

Stop one
Start the day at Quinta da Regaleira, an historic palace and lush gardens filled with mystery, metaphors and underground passages.
Stop two
We’ll stop at a few unnamed, epic lookouts on the way to lunch at a traditional Portuguese restaurant in one of our villages – expect fresh, grilled fish or meat with plenty of vinho! Where we go changes depending on the day (and what the special dishes of the day are, plus dietary needs of course).
Stop three
Welcome to the edge of the earth: Cabo da Roca. The stunning cliffs and lighthouse mark the westernmost point on mainland Europe.
Stop four
Soak in the stunning coastline as we take the scenic route past famous Guincho Beach towards the beautiful fishing village of Cascais. Before we say farewell we’ll taste Sintra’s century-old local sweet pastry, the “travesseiro”, with homemade “ginja” liqueur. From here you can take the train back to Lisbon or ride with us back to Sintra station.

• Each UMM jeep seats up to 7 people and guests ages 11+ can attend. If you have a larger group, contact us for a private tour.
• Denna resa rekommenderas inte för personer med nedsatt rörlighet, ryggproblem eller gravida.
• Ni kan inte ta med bagage eftersom det inte finns plats för det i jeepen.
