Besök den vackra och historiska staden Sintra, ett UNESCO-världsarv. Upptäck de pittoreska gatorna, Sintra nationalpalats, fontänerna, kyrkorna, kapellen och de små helgedomarna.

Morisk borg

Climb to the Moorish Castle where the construction of the first sections of its wall dates from the 8th and 9th century. From the castle, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the whole region. It can’t be missed!

Casal de Santa Maria

We will visit a fantastic family farm located in Sintra’s hillside. On this farm, the production of wines was interrupted 100 years ago. The present owners, with the help of Portuguese and French experts, have studied the local soil and climate, modernized the production and brought their vineyards back to life. At the moment, they produce red and white wines in a traditional way with high quality and national and international recognition.

Colares

The cooperative winery at Colares (Adega Regional de Colares) was founded in 1931. It congregates today more than 50% of the total production, with an important social role in the region. Its beautiful building dates back to the late of 19th century, with an imposing interior housing wooden barrels, casks and vats totalling more than 1 million litters capacity. It is the maturing and aging place “par excellence” for the wines of this appellation.

Azenhas do Mar

Next, visit Azenhas do Mar, a coastal village in the municipality of Sintra with a very picturesque landscape. Next, make the short drive to Praia da Maçãs, a well-known beach with golden sand and clear water. Locals typically visit to spend time at the ocean as well as the near-by saltwater swimming pool.

Cabo da Roca

Upptäck sedan den västligaste punkten i kontinentala Europa. Från klippkrönet njuter ni av den fantastiska utsikten över stränderna och havet. Från vägen nära kusten kan ni blicka ut över stränderna och de vackra städerna Estoril och Cascais.

Guincho-stranden

På vägen tillbaka får vi chansen att njuta av denna unika strand med sina berömda sanddyner. En riktig fristad för surf, vindsurf och kitesurf.

Cascais

Vi kan inte åka hem utan att besöka den charmiga staden Cascais. Denna före detta fiskeby var en gång en kunglig tillflyktsort. I dag är den fortfarande ett av de mest attraktiva resmålen för den portugisiska och utländska eliten tack vare allt den har att erbjuda: boutiquer, restauranger, hotell, stränder och mycket mer.
