Intermediate Surf Session with a Local Pro

Ready to take your surfing to the next level? Join an experienced local surf coach for an intermediate surf session on the Algarve’s beautiful South or West Coast.

This experience is designed for surfers who can already paddle out in moderate conditions, catch and ride unbroken waves independently, distinguish between left- and right-hand waves, and understand basic surf conditions and etiquette.

Your coach will pick you up from Lagos, Praia da Luz or Burgau and take you to the best surf spot of the day, selected according to the swell, wind, tides, your surfing ability and beach conditions.

Once at the beach, you’ll assess the conditions together, identify the best place to paddle out and warm up before heading into the water.

Enjoy approximately two hours of surfing alongside your coach, with practical guidance to help you improve wave selection, positioning, timing and technique. This is an opportunity to learn from a local surfer with extensive knowledge of the Algarve coastline while becoming a more confident and independent surfer.

After the session, you’ll have time to change, relax and discuss your performance with your coach. Get personalised feedback, analyse your technique and identify areas to focus on as you continue progressing.

The surf spot and schedule may vary depending on the conditions of the day to provide the best possible surfing experience.

This session is designed for intermediate surfers and is not suitable for complete beginners. Participants should be able to paddle out in moderate conditions, catch and ride some unbroken waves independently.

Pickup & Meeting Point

Transfer is optional. You can choose pickup and drop-off from designated meeting points in Lagos, Praia da Luz or Burgau, or meet us directly at the beach if you prefer to travel independently.

We will contact you around 8:00 PM on the evening before your session via WhatsApp, SMS or email to confirm your pickup time and meeting point. Please provide a valid phone number when booking and check your messages.
Surf Spot & Duration

The surf spot is selected according to the swell, wind, tides, beach conditions and your surfing ability. Depending on the conditions, the session may take place on the Algarve’s South or West Coast.

The surf session lasts approximately 2 timmar. If you choose our transfer service, the drive to the surf spot takes approximately 10–30 minutes each way, depending on the beach selected. Total experience duration will therefore vary depending on the location and whether you use our transfer service.

Pickup times and the surf location may vary to provide the best possible surfing conditions.

Utrustning

Surfboard, wetsuit and leash are included. If you would like to use your own equipment or have a specific board preference, please let us know in advance. Requests are subject to availability and surf conditions.

The experience includes a surf conditions briefing, warm-up, approximately 2 hours of surfing with coaching, and post-surf feedback. Please let us know in advance about any relevant physical limitations or concerns that may affect your participation.
