BTL 2025 reaches record number of visitors and strengthens its position as Portugal’s largest Tourism Fair
The BTL – Better Tourism Lisbon Travel Market (formerly the Lisbon Tourism Exchange) set a new attendance record in its 2025 edition, held from March 12 to 16. The event brought together 82,000 visitors at FIL, in Parque das Nações, reinforcing its status as the largest tourism fair in Portugal.

With an exhibition area of 50,000 square meters and 1,500 exhibitors, BTL 2025 offered a dynamic program featuring over 600 parallel events, including conferences, destination presentations, and networking opportunities.
BTL 2025 in Numbers: Growth and Impact on the Sector
This year’s edition welcomed over 100 international destinations and 300 direct sales stands, offering exclusive promotions and generating millions of euros in transactions. The organization highlighted significant growth compared to the previous year, including:
- +7% increase in exhibition area,
- +24% growth in represented international destinations,
- +11% increase in international exhibiting companies,
- +18% rise in participation from associations and municipalities,
- +15% growth in the accommodation sector.
Hosted Buyers Program Boosts International Business
The Hosted Buyers Program, developed in partnership with TAP and Turismo de Portugal, brought together more than 200 international buyers from 42 countries, who participated in over 3,800 meetings with 500 companies present at the fair.
One of the major innovations of this edition was the expansion of the program to include the international offerings at the event, further strengthening BTL’s position as a global business hub in the tourism sector.
A Successful Edition Filled with Business Opportunities
Dália Palma, event coordinator, emphasized the fair’s positive impact:

The next edition of BTL is already scheduled to take place from February 25 to March 1, 2026, promising even more innovation and opportunities for the tourism sector.
