The Vila Franca do Campo Islet is one of the most emblematic landscapes of the Azores. It has an incomparable beauty thanks to its impressive volcanic formation and the crystal-clear waters that surround it. Going around the islet by boat offers a privileged perspective of this natural wonder, which is not accessible by land.

This tour is suitable for families, couples, friends and even those travelling alone. It combines the thrill of being out at sea with the pleasure of exploring one of the most beautiful landscapes in Portugal, without the need for intense activities such as swimming or walking long distances.

Good to know

• Swimming is not permitted on this tour (we have other tours that offer this activity).
• Because the Vila Franca do Campo Islet is an area protected for its unique biodiversity, local authorities do not allow boats to enter the interior of the islet.

Therefore, for reasons of environmental protection of marine ecosystems, our tour takes place outside the Islet, where it is equally possible to observe the volcanic formation of great geological importance, avoiding damage to the ecosystem and ensuring the conservation of this natural area.

• The activity is subject to weather and sea conditions. If it cannot go ahead, we will reschedule or you will be refunded. If you decide to cancel more than 72h in advance, you will be refunded 100%. After that period, we retain 100% of the payment.

• People in wheelchairs (unless they can be carried inside the boat and do the tour without a wheelchair)

You will meet at the OceanEye Azores/Kayak Azores / Azorean Eye kiosk at Vila Franca do Campo Marina. We are on the opposite side from the Marina bar, right at the end.
