Itinerary

The day begins with a visit to the traditional pineapple plantations, where together we will discover the process developed in these glasshouses.

We continue towards Sete Cidades on the western part of the island.

We begin walking through the “”9 janelas”” (the old aqueduct), where we cross a dense forest of Japanese cedars (Cryptomeria japonica) for 1 km. We continue along the upper edge of the crater for 9 km, where you will have the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful views on the island.

A picnic will be held along the journey. Once the walk around the crater ends, we descend along a 2 km “”levada””, a path rich in vegetation with incredible shades of green, to reach the parish of Sete Cidades.

A comfort break will take place before we return to Ponta Delgada. During this break, you can swim in the beautiful blue lake.
