Immerse yourself in the authenticity of the traditional Algarve villages on this day trip departing from Vilamoura. Discover the local flavours and sample regional aguardente at a distillery in the village of Barranco do Velho.

After pick-up at the meeting point in Vilamoura, let yourself be carried on a scenic drive to the old town of Loulé. Here you can stroll through a colourful local market, where you will find a diverse selection of regional produce.

The journey continues to the hilltop village of Querença, where you can take photographs of its picturesque white buildings. Visit the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção and admire its Portuguese gilded woodwork, as well as the 17th-century paintings and azulejos.

We continue to the village of Salir, with a stop at the archaeological museum, which has a glass floor above the 12th-century foundations of an old castle. We then head to Barranco do Velho, where you can sample the famous medronho aguardente at a local distillery.

To finish, enjoy a delicious lunch in the well-preserved village of Alte, with its whitewashed houses and a charming water channel. At the end of the tour, you will return to your starting point.
