If you want to see wild dolphins, Ecomarine Algarve knows where to find them. Our dolphin-watching trips are accompanied by a specialised local guide, who will identify different species and interpret the dolphins’ behaviour, turning your trip into an unforgettable experience.

The coastal waters of the Ria Formosa around Faro are the natural habitat of several dolphin species. Besides the more common species such as the bottlenose dolphin, the common dolphin and the striped dolphin, you have the opportunity to observe other forms of marine life, such as some birds – gannets, shearwaters, razorbills and storm petrels – and some fish species – sunfish, flying fish, marlins and tuna.

Sightings: when dolphin watching we always give our best, but no one can guarantee a sighting; however, our experience and dedication gave us a 95% success rate last year. We always check the sea conditions so that the experience is a successful one.

Boarding – 8:30: Cais das Portas do Mar (check in 15 min. before)

Tips:

• Take a seasickness tablet if you are not used to sailing.
• Bring a jacket, the temperature at sea is always lower.
