PR8 – Transfer to Ponta de São Lourenço Natural Reserve with Entry Ticket

Discover the eastern tip of Madeira on the PR8 Vereda da Ponta de São Lourenço, a stunning trail offering panoramic views of both the northern and southern coasts. This service includes return transfer and the trail entry ticket, helping you prepare for a smooth day of independent exploration.

Before you begin, receive essential route information and practical guidance to help you prepare for the walk. This self-guided hike covers approximately 6 km round-trip (3 km each way), takes around 3.5 hours, and follows undulating terrain suited to hikers of average fitness.

Wander across volcanic cliffs and basalt formations, look out for seabirds such as shearwaters and Bulwer’s petrels, and enjoy the unique semi-arid landscapes.

Before heading back, take a break at Cais do Sardinha, where you may enjoy a swim if sea conditions and time allow. After your hike, meet your driver at the agreed time for a comfortable return to your pickup point.

• Guests should be able to walk approximately 3:30 hours on uneven, undulating terrain.
• Not recommended for people with limited mobility.
