HIKE Salto do Prego – Sanguinho

Situated in the municipality of Povoação, in the south-east of the island of São Miguel, the parish of Faial da Terra is home to one of the most charming Azorean villages. This place is surrounded by nature and offers an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. On this trip, we will go for a walk, passing orchards and wooden bridges, up to the Salto do Prego waterfall, where you can admire the beauty of the place. On the way back, we will visit the old village of Sanguinho, a historic settlement that takes us back to the past. In the afternoon, we will explore Furnas, a place full of volcanic activity and unique traditions of the island of São Miguel.
