As the boat sails across the great lake, let yourself be lulled by the many stories of the Alqueva and enjoy an Alentejo snack; cheeses, paio, paiola, torresmos, sliced olives, bread, wines and a few little cakes.

A one-and-a-half-hour circular trip, with a guide and tastings of regional Alentejo produce, including the wines. Departure from the marina next to the dam wall.

Water
A trip whose main purpose is to make it possible to experience the act of observing, listening to and feeling the immense tranquillity of nature interwoven with the sunlight on the largest artificial body of water in Europe, whose sunsets between April and October are stunning.
The sensations develop as the cruise proceeds, accompanied by explanations, passing the Alqueva dam, along the axis of the Guadiana, past the Ribeira de Codes, winding between the islands, in a conversation between crew member and passengers.
Amid all the setting described above, inside the boat, there is space for a moment of tasting Alentejo produce – cheeses, torresmos, paio, paiola, sliced olives, bread and wines. Possibility of a refreshing dip on hot days.

Land
There is the possibility of the programme having a land-based component and starting there, at no extra cost, with a visit to the Alqueva Interpretation Centre (CIAL), where there will be an explanation about the Alqueva multipurpose project and also a short film related to the project.
