About
Listen and let yourself be carried away by the countless stories that have shaped this territory, or even by some details relating to the fauna and flora of this vast body of water, as the boat heads from the dam to the village of Luz, passing by the villages of Estrela and Campinho.
The programme includes lunch at a village restaurant, with starters and typical Alentejo dishes.
Visit to the Luz Museum, “a singular space of culture and identity, built between the village and the shore of Lake Alqueva.
Free for children under 6 years old, provided they are accompanied by family members.

Boat trip to the new village of Luz and back, with a regional lunch at Monte dos Pássaros and a visit to the Luz Museum.
Water
Boarding at the quay of the dam complex to start the trip.
Sailing begins with the approach to the Alqueva dam, with a stop beside the safety buoys for the first explanatory moment about the operation of the Alqueva and Pedrógão Dams, then continuing along the old course of the Guadiana towards the village of Luz, with an approach to the village of Estrela. Throughout the circuit, the explanations are constant, about the reservoir, the banks, the settlement of the land, the hidden corners, the fauna, the flora and other curiosities, all in pleasant conversation.
