Join us from Lisbon for this journey through the Atlantic highway, to experience an unforgettable adventure on the Berlenga Islands, with breathtaking landscapes and crystal-clear waters. We will depart together in our van or private car, and after about 1 hour of travel, we will reach the city of Peniche, where we will meet our boat to cross the ocean to the Berlenga Islands. After approximately 40 minutes aboard a beautiful new catamaran, we will reach Berlenga Grande to experience together an unforgettable adventure on the crystal-clear waters of the archipelago. The Berlengas Archipelago is located 16 km west of Peniche. The archipelago is a mighty granite block. This territory belongs to the parish of São Pedro, municipality of Peniche. Besides the main island, called Berlenga, which represents more than two-thirds of the total surface area of the island, there is another part called Ilha Velha, separated from the rest of the island by sea erosion. The Berlenga Archipelago is a protected area that integrates natural reserves managed by the Institute for Nature Conservation and Forests (ICNF) and has been considered a biosphere reserve by UNESCO since 2011. Once we disembark on the island, on your right, we will find a small but very nice beach where you can swim. Remember to bring your swimsuit and towel. During the summer, it will undoubtedly be a pleasant moment of refreshment in the crystal-clear waters of the island. We will visit the caves by boat and walk the trails that will lead us to the large lighthouse and the Castle of St. John the Baptist. For those who wish, it is possible to rent snorkeling equipment directly on the island. We recommend letting us know in advance to plan the visit and diving times. After about 4 hours, we will return to Peniche by catamaran. After a brief tasting of typical products, we will go to Óbidos, a medieval village, where we will have the opportunity to experience the typical product “Ginginha” and stroll along the city walls. We will return to Lisbon after 8 hours of touring. Includes: – Headphones for clear listening to the tour guide – Boat ticket to Berlenga Island from Peniche – Snorkeling gear, but it can be rented on-site. Not suitable for: – People prone to seasickness.
