Four companies from Alentejo receive Sustainability Seal from Turismo de Portugal
Turismo de Portugal has awarded four companies from Alentejo the Sustainability Engaged seal as part of the Empresas Turismo 360º Program (PET 360º).

The ceremony took place at the Lisbon Travel Market (BTL) and was attended by Pedro Machado, Secretary of State for Tourism, and Carlos Abade, President of Turismo de Portugal. During the event, the Sustainability Seal from Turismo de Portugal was a key highlight.
Alentejo Companies recognized for their commitment to Sustainability
The companies Aromas dos Salgueiros (Castelo de Vide), Monte do Zambujeiro (Vila Nova de Milfontes), RTIN Group (Evoramonte), and Solar dos Araújos were recognized for their commitment to sustainable practices. Their distinction is due to the implementation of concrete and measurable actions, reported through the Organizational and Sustainability Reporting Tool for Tourism (FOREST).
Carlos Abade, President of Turismo de Portugal, emphasized the importance of the PET 360º program, stating that it promotes the ongoing recognition of companies striving to make the sector more sustainable. This commitment contributes to positioning Portugal as a responsible tourism destination, aligned with the best environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
BTL 2025: Sustainability and Innovation in focus
The BTL session also included a debate on leadership training for more sustainable tourism, covering topics such as:
- Sustainability as a strategic investment;
- The challenges of ESG reporting (Environmental, Social, and Governance);
- The impact of sustainable business practices on the sector’s competitiveness.
In addition to awarding the Sustainability Engaged seals, BTL 2025 hosted several Turismo de Portugal initiatives, including an art installation inspired by the “Portugal is Art” campaign and the Hosted Buyers program, which brought together international tour operators and national businesses to foster new partnerships.

The Empresas Turismo 360º Program aims to encourage the adoption of best environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices, promoting a more efficient and sustainable tourism sector.
A total of 33 companies from different regions of the country were recognized in this edition, reinforcing the program’s role in transforming Portuguese tourism towards a more responsible and innovative future.
