AllGarbe is made of gastronomic traditions with their origins in the sea, and is the meeting point for lovers of fish and seafood.

Formerly called Algarbe Alandalus (Gharb al-Ândalus), referring to the western part of Moorish Andalusia that gave rise to the place name Algarve and which, even today, shows its deep marks on the linguistic, artistic and architectural heritage of the Algarve.

It is the history, the customs and the soul of this region that we preserve in our name, on our walls clad in azulejo panels and which recall the grandeur of the “people of our land” — Portimão.

This is an entirely Algarvian restaurant, with a team made up almost entirely of local staff who know well the best the region has to offer; all the products are local and fresh, prepared to order and preserving the flavours of each ingredient, just as in their traditional preparation.

From the sea we bring to your table the fresh fish of our Algarvian coast, slowly grilled or cooked in the most varied ways, keeping all the juices that make your mouth water. Not forgetting the “queen” of the city of Portimão, chosen as the image of our logo, the beautiful sardine (which should be small) and whose fame is grilled and dripping onto the bread, served with a delicious Algarvian salad with oregano and peppers.

And who has never tried our wonderful delicacies made up of: carapaus alimados (prepared in the fishermen’s style), the tuna steak from Tavira, razor clam rice, whelk bean stew, seafood rice, Algarve-style baby squid or cockle xerém?

But we don’t stop there, we have a wide variety of seafood waiting for you: fresh scarlet prawns from the Algarve coast, clams, wedge clams, cockles and oysters from the Ria de Alvor Nature Reserve, finishing with spider crabs, lobsters and santola crabs that live in our two aquariums.

We start with starters such as spider crab roe paste, alheira balls with garlic mayonnaise or an AllGarbe-style gazpacho. For a fish main course we can choose the traditional bacalhau à AllGarbe, our wide variety of fresh grilled fish (meagre, grouper, red mullet…) or a succulent Salt-baked Sea Bream or Sea Bass. If you prefer a meat dish we have excellent options such as Portuguese-style steak or a braised lamb shank.

For desserts, we have the AllGarbe sweet and the almond tart, the refinement of the flavours of our land with the fig ball flambéed with medronho and almond or the carob and lemon tart.

And as a good table wants to be full of friends, snacks and a good wine (with special mention for our signature wine Arvad, which brings with it all the flavour of the Algarve lands).
