Visitors can explore the city’s historic centre, which features colourful buildings and cobbled streets, as well as the iconic basilica at the top of Monte Santa Luzia, which offers panoramic views of the city and the sea. In addition, Viana do Castelo is known for its traditional festivals, such as the Romaria da nossa Senhora da Agonia, which takes place every August and features colourful processions and traditional music.

Ponte de Lima, on the other hand, is a picturesque town known for its picturesque setting along the Lima river. Visitors can stroll through the town’s charming streets and admire the historic buildings and landmarks, such as the Ponte Romana, a Roman bridge dating back to the 1st century AD. In addition, Ponte de Lima is known for its delicious cuisine, particularly its fresh seafood and vinho verde, a light, slightly sparkling white wine unique to the region.
