Milk and Cheese Route – EXOC Selection

The experience begins at a dairy farm in Flores, where you will watch the milking, meet the cows up close and taste milk at its source. Back at the farm, it is time to bottle-feed the calves.

Next comes the Val da Fazenda cheese dairy, where milk takes on a new form. Here you roll up your sleeves and take part in making fresh and cured cheese and, whenever conditions allow, butter as well.

To finish, a tasting of the island’s flavours: fresh and cured cheese, butter, homemade jams, toast and Kima.

An authentic experience, from pasture to table, with people who make this their way of life.
